Every Day is CATurday

A CATastrophic app by Pura Vida Apps using thecatapi.com.
Every few seconds another cat will be displayed. This is something for cat lovers! Enjoy!

Now with version 2 you can tap the cat to pause the slideshow and tap the icon to adjust the speed of the slideshow, default = 3 sec.

Tested on HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N. The app can be moved to the external storage to save memory.

App Inventor blocks

This project has been developed with App Inventor. You can find a screenshot of the relevant parts of the source code below.
The following blocks are used to display the rotating waiting icon. App Inventor does not support animated gifs up to now, therefore I'm using this workaround with an Image Sprite and a rotation of 2 degrees in clockwise direction every 50ms.
